For the last 5 years, within the 1st quarter of each year, ICT savvies from the Visayas region come together to digest knowledge, collect information, brainstorm strategies and set-up locations for economic growth and development. Such is beneficial for business sectors, job seekers and the local government units.

This year marks the 5th VICTOR (Visayas ICT Cluster Organization) conference which will be held at the Dagohoy Grand Hall of Bohol Tropics Resort in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on March 2, 2017. The event is hosted by the Bohol ICT Council led by its current President, Joanne Phillips and Immediate Past President, Lai Biliran, in collaboration with the BIPC (Bohol Investment Promotion Center, City of Tagbilaran Government, Provincial Government of Bohol, NICP, VICTOR and DICT.

This is a huge and important event that shouldn’t be missed particularly by our local educational and industry leaders. This will be the perfect opportunity to gather data and inputs to help one’s investment to grow and take part in this technology-driven society.

Besides it’s the first time to be held here in Bohol, this year’s VICTOR summit brings another first: BOHOL EDUCATION SUMMIT. It aims to convene school administrators, educators and people who are interested to nurture education in the province.

Relevant topics to be given emphasis for this year’s Education Summit are as follows:

  2. Industry Perspectives: Human Capital in the Philippines Roadmap 2022, by Jonathan De Luzuriaga, IT-BPM Chair

  3. Policy Ecosystems for Next Wave Cities Government Perspectives, by Moncito Ibrahim, DICT NWC Head

Following the topics’ discussions and workshops will be an open forum to gather ideas, feedbacks and suggestions from the attendees, as well as to discuss attainable plans and develop strategies to ensure that the more than a million unemployed and underemployed citizens will be given opportunities to have the quality education that they deserve and to be able to live a good life.

Meanwhile, on March 3, 2017, the 3rd Creative Conference (CreaCon) will take place in the same venue.
