Microsoft Announces Major Changes to Lync, Now Known as Skype for Business!

Exciting times are ahead of us! We are proud to announce that the next version Lync will be known as Skype for Business!

The release of Skype for Business will come with a new server release, a fantastic new user experience, and updates to the Lync service in Office 365.

Skype for Business will incorporate the best features of Skype and Lync. We’re bringing in Skype’s familiar interface, and Lync’s well-loved features like content-sharing, telephony, IM, video and audio calls to other Skype users.
